AICE Consulting S.R.L. is an engineering company based in Pisa (Italy) and founded in 1990, providing high-tech engineering services for the construction sector both nationally and internationally. - T1.1 and T1.2: Developing self-inspection methods and techniques with the use of measurement and diagnostic instruments, based on professional expertise and field experience as construction site manager and structural engineer.
- T4.1: Input of execution details to the construction sites, specificities of the building project for BIM modelling.
- T5.2 and T5.3: Taking real projects (sites), performing field validation and demonstration.
- T6.1, T6.2 and T6.3: Input to standardisation in structural reliability and site engineering; publications in professional journals, workshops and presentation to professional associations; development of exploitation strategy and plan.
- T7.2: Active participation in management meetings (general assembly); fulfilment of all obligations for reporting.
Key persons involved:
Mr Antonfranco Pasquale, MSc (male), has a Master Degree in Civil Engineering, building section, from the University of Pisa; member of the Engineers Association of the Province of Pisa. He is a co-founder and technical director in AICE since 1990. He is an expert in structural diagnostics, monitoring and testing of civil and industrial constructions, bridges and roads, technological systems, as well as historical and listed buildings, with almost twenty-five years of professional and consultancy experience. | |
Dr Benedetta Marradi (female), is a Civil Engineer with +7 years experience. She holds a PhD in Civil Engineering (University of Pisa, 2013), with a research on glass façade engineering for low impact/low performance buildings. She spent a research period at the Glass & Façade Technology (GFT) Research Group, University of Cambridge, where she developed a process mapping for the refurbishment and renovation of existing glass envelopes. She obtained a MSc. degree in Building Engineering and Architecture (University of Pisa, 2008) and is a member of the Engineers Association of the Province of Lucca. Dr. Marradi is trained as a Safety Coordinator in the Design and Construction Phases, and has obtained in 2013 a Project Management Qualification from the Italian Institute of Project Management in Rome. She collaborates with the University of Pisa as adjunct professor in building technology and architecture. | |
Mr Juan Carlos Miranda Santos, MSc (male), holds a masters in Civil Engineering, building section, from the University of Pisa. He is an experienced engineer who has been working for +17 years in testing systems, non-destructive testing and monitoring systems for the civil and industrial construction sector. His work is mainly focused on the survey of existing buildings and monuments, to assess the actual condition and propose retrofitting design strategies. He is trained as a Safety Coordinator in the Design and Construction Phases and member of the Engineers Association of the Province of Pisa. Mr Fabio Ricci, MSc (male), has a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering, structural section, from the University of Pisa and is a member of the Engineers Association of the Province of Pisa. Mr Ricci is trained as a Safety Coordinator in the Design and Construction Phases and has more than 16 years of experience in the design of structures, frames, structural modelling and geotechnical engineering. | |
